Pat Alphin was born in Dallas, Texas
and grew up in Mesquite, Texas. He fell in love with the Rodeo
in 8th grade which is when he climbed onto his first bull. He
would spend most of his spare time riding Neal Gay's rough stock up
at the Mesquite Rodeo as often as he could throughout his high
school years. When the football coach who started him on
Varsity as a freshman told him he had to make a choice between
football or rodeo, he chose rodeo. Pat was on the first Mesquite
High School Rodeo Team that went on to the state finals in 1974.
After graduation, Pat hit the PRCA rodeo circuit where an injury
ended his career in 1979. He met his wife, Renee in 1979.
They were married in 1980 and have two daughters, Charesa 25 and
Ashli 21. Pat received Christ as his Savior in 1986 and served
as a Deacon at FBC Kaufman and FBC Lindale. God had been
calling Pat into the ministry since 1992 and he finally surrendered
to that call in 2006. Pat and his wife, along with two other
couples started Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Tyler, Texas in 2003.
They served there until they were called to Henderson, Texas to help
start Circle C Cowboy Church of Rusk County this summer.
